Trusted Financial Oversight
Reliable Expertise
An external audit is an independent examination of a company’s financial statements by auditors who have no connection to the company. The auditor’s job is to give an objective opinion on whether the financial statements present a true and fair view of the business, in line with applicable accounting standards.
Because the auditor is independent, the resulting report carries weight. It is the reason free zone authorities, banks, government bodies, and investors ask for external audits: they need assurance from a neutral third party, not from the company’s own management.
Third party audit services in the UAE typically follow International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and result in a signed audit report stating one of four opinions: unqualified (clean), qualified, adverse, or a disclaimer, depending on what the auditor finds.
Free zone companies. Most UAE free zones require an annual external audit for license renewal. DMCC only accepts reports from auditors on its approved list, filed within six months of your financial year end. IFZA requires financial statements at renewal, with small companies allowed simplified statements. Ask us which rule applies to your zone before you engage anyone.
Companies applying for bank facilities. Banks in the UAE routinely ask for two to three years of audited financial statements before approving loans, overdrafts, or trade finance.
Businesses attracting investors. Whether it is a new partner, a private investor, or a group restructuring, audited statements prove your numbers are real.
Larger mainland companies. UAE law requires every LLC and joint-stock company to have its accounts audited each year. On top of that, banks routinely ask for two to three years of audited statements before approving loans, overdrafts, or trade finance.
Companies preparing for corporate tax scrutiny. Under the UAE’s 9% corporate tax regime, having independently audited financials makes your tax position far easier to defend if the FTA asks questions.
Statutory External Audits. Audits required by law or by your licensing authority, completed to the required standard and delivered before your deadline.
Free Zone Audits. We are familiar with the audit requirements of major UAE free zones. Our reports meet their formats, timelines, and filing procedures, so your renewal never stalls.
Audit for Bank and Finance Purposes. Audit reports prepared specifically to satisfy bank credit requirements, with the documentation lenders expect to see.
Audit for Corporate Tax Filing. Independent verification of the financials behind your corporate tax return, giving you a defensible filing position under FTA review.
Second Opinion and Special Reviews. An independent second opinion on your internal controls or financial reporting, plus special-purpose reviews such as stock count or royalty audits, when you need an expert eye without a full audit.
Group and Consolidated Audits. For businesses with multiple entities or branches, we audit group structures and prepare consolidated views that reflect the full picture.
Step 1. Engagement and planning. We confirm the audit’s purpose, agree the scope and timeline, and give you a clear checklist of documents needed.
Step 2. Risk assessment. We identify the areas of highest risk in your financials so testing focuses where it matters.
Step 3. Fieldwork. Our auditors examine records, confirm balances with banks and customers where needed, test transactions, and review your accounting policies.
Step 4. Review and discussion. Before finalising, we discuss our findings with your management. No surprises in the final report.
Step 5. Audit report. You receive a signed, independent audit report with our formal opinion, plus a management letter highlighting any control weaknesses and how to fix them.
